Research interest  
    A number of human diseases are characterized by malformations or functional deficiencies of cells in the liver or pancreas. The understanding of such diseases and their treatment by pharmacological or cell therapy-based approaches requires extensive knowledge of the mechanisms that govern cell differentiation. The aim of the research in the group is to determine the mechanisms by which transcription factors and signaling pathways control development of the liver and pancreas.
